Audrey really never ceases to amaze me. Yesterday I lost my MARTA pass. I looked absolutely everywhere, with no luck. Nada. I highly suspected Audrey to be the culprit. She makes it common practice to get my wallet and pull everything out. I vaguely remember her doing that over the weekend, but didn't worry b/c the only thing she can do harm to is some receipts. (and all cards were right there in a little pile...all except the train pass, of course). Well, I went to school and had to pay fare to and from, which made me livid since my pass is a monthly pass for which I'd already paid about $60 to use until Apr 30th. I went to the desk where you buy them. I know they keep track of who bought one, b/c there is only one allowed per student, so I took my chances. Maybe...just maybe, they have the power to cancel it and issue a new one? No. The best I could hope for was to find a different student who wasn't using one to buy one from. (as students we get them at about a $20 discount...) Yay. So my options are either pay $5 everytime I have to go to class, or spend another $60, totaling my train expenses to $120 for the month. I didn't care for either option, but decided to just pay the $5 4 days a week for the next 3 weeks...maybe the pass would show up somewhere.
So Today I was running late. As I was getting my things together I passed Audrey walking around and as I ran passed....I noticed...wait. Is that my MARTA pass in her hand?! Could it be an old one that I gave her, or could it possibly be my blessed April pass? I have no clue where she could have hidden it...and then made it reappear, but it really made me giggle. She is so awesome. Gush over.
